  13. Please help me to solve my HD problems.
  14. I've a standard A1200 expanded with an
  15. 68030+68882 50Mhz accellerator and 8Mb
  16. of Fast ram, and kickstart 3.0. I've
  17. also a Maxtor 7540av HD and it works
  18. fine. I've decided some months ago to
  19. install a second HD to install linux
  20. 68K version on it. I've initially
  21. bought a seagate st850 but the two
  22. drives toghether dont' worked fine;
  23. after two or three hours of using
  24. the seagate drive turned itself off.
  25. So i changed the seagate drive for
  26. a Quantum Fireball 1080A but the problem
  27. was the same. So i decided to use
  28. only the Quantum HD but yesterday after
  29. using this HD for the first time for
  30. a long period the drive turned off
  31. and then returned on by itself! I
  32. don't know why this thing happens but
  33. i believe that is not for a low power
  34. (i use a 200W power). I take the
  35. power for the HD from the disk drive
  36. connector inside the A1200. Is perhaps
  37. this the problem? Or what?
  38. Another question. After launching
  39. HDToolsBox for the 1GB drive this
  40. program give me all tracks over 2048
  41. as broken (but i use them fine as linux).
  42. Is this a problem of that program?
